Bachelor of Music (MusB)
Four-year degree at the University of
Western Australia, spread over many years 1979-1990 but mostly done in
the first four years.
Major: composition, plus studies in piano performance.

Sir Frank Callaway (two years of orchestration).
I was privileged to have many other wonderful teachers
at UWA including
other staff in classes and tutorials, and contact and masterclasses
with many international visitors.

years, UWA, 1993-1994.
Major: high school class music; minor: computer studies.
Included an interesting elective unit in research methods.
Two long teaching practicums at schools with a major investment in
music education: Christchurch Grammar School and Churchlands Senior
High School.
