Four-year degree, University of Western Australia, 1979-1990.
Major: composition, plus studies in piano performance.
Significant teachers: Roger Smalley (composition); Brian Michell (piano); Sir Frank Callaway (orchestration).
I was privileged to have many other wonderful teachers at UWA including other staff and many international visitors.

Licentiate of Trinity College, London (LTCL)
Piano teaching, 1992.
Associate of Trinity College, London (ATCL)
Piano performance, 1988.

Teaching of composition and music theory, 1988.
Associate in Music, Australian Music Examinations Board (AMusA)
Theory, 1989. I did several grade exams with the Board but this is my only AMEB diploma.
Note: all my qualifications and experience were gained in Australia.
